Cláudio L. Eizirik, MD, 2011

Dr. Eizirik is a training and supervisor analyst from the Porto Alegre Psychoanalytic Society and Adjunct professor of the Department of Psychiatry of Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He has authored of papers, chapters and books on analytic training, analytic practice and the relation of psychoanalysis and culture. Dr. Eizirik’s his main areas of research are the studies on the process and effectiveness of psychoanalysis and analytic psychotherapy. He is former president of the Latin American Psychoanalytic Federation and of the IPA, and former Dean of the Medical School at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Dr. Eizirik has lectured and supervised in several congresses and societies in the three geographical regions of the IPA.
